I am a painter living on the east coast of the United States. My mother was a wonderful artist and I grew up with the smell of oil paint and turpentine. Initially, I worked with oil and painted abstracts on plywood. I have been creating art for most of my life and have worked with various mediums including clay, oil, strappo, and most recently acrylic. Some of the scenes I capture are of places I have visited, others are visions that live inside me. I search for opportunities in life and translate these moments in my work.
“Art is a kind of innate drive that seizes a human being and makes him its instrument...as an artist he is ‘man’ in a higher sense – he is ‘collective man' – one who carries and shapes the unconscious psychic life of mankind.” Carl Jung, Modern Man In Search Of A Soul
